Immerse Tech Programmes provide unique educational insights into a range of relevant, skills-based topics within the field of technology for participants aged 11 – 15 years olds. Hosted at the picturesque Royal Hospital boarding school in Suffolk, this two week residential programme will engage, inspire and challenge young people to explore their chosen discipline in detail, gaining hands-on, transferable knowledge. As well as technical understanding, participants will also develop their passion for innovation as they work independently, and with like-minded peers to create tangible and practical solutions to given problems and projects.

Graphic and 3D Design
On this course, participants will dive into the fascinating world of graphic and 3D design, covering a broad range of riveting topics that will push their understanding and creativity to new heights. The programme will enable participants to bring their imaginative ideas to their computer screens with the opportunity to design products and create visual brands through a number of advanced techniques.
Video and Visual Effects
On this course, participants will learn how to shoot professional footage by mastering shot composition, expertly setting up their equipment for taking the best quality images and replicate a variety of industry techniques from the world of film-making. They will consider storytelling and scripting to bring their ideas to life and develop their technical expertise by exploring the latest software and programmes that professionals use to create stunning visual effects.
Photography and Digital Editing
Through taking this course, participants will have the chance to see how photography is employed in a variety of fascinating ways and learn how to use the best equipment and software to create their own portfolio work, akin to any professional’s. Our experienced teachers guide participants in small class sizes to equip them with the skills and techniques needed to produce outstanding images.
The web-development programme covers a wide range of fascinating topics that engage participants in innovative and exciting ways. Participants will have the chance to learn about the recent developments that have taken the field in new and pioneering directions, explore various coding languages needed to create responsive, eye-catching pages, and even how to design and build their own webpage in line with current practices.
There are so many gripping topics to explore when learning about app development, and participants on this course will discover those that are most exciting and relevant. While this programme focuses primarily on creating apps and games for Apple’s operating system, participants can also expect to learn about Android and other platforms that allow users to access the essential apps that we now depend on on a daily basis. Participants will also look at developments that have shaped and driven the field in recent history.
Computer Science and Machine Learning
The field of computer science is ever changing and as such, it remains incredibly intriguing. We’ve handpicked some of the most relevant and exciting topics to give participants of this course a unique educational experience that comprises a broad range of theoretical knowledge and allows them to develop practical skills that can be applied across numerous innovative fields. Participants might look at the developments and use of cyber security, learn about decrypting encrypted messages, create and analyse small programs for security or gain insight into the myriad coding languages used today.
