Immerse Education currently delivers rigorous academic courses for 1200 students from over 60 countries, across the globe. It won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2018, is accredited by COBIS and BAC, and is a proud member of ROSPA. Building on the success of its previous programmes, 2019 will see the launch of our technology focused programmes for students aged 11 to 15 years olds. The courses will be delivered over two week residential programmes, within 200 acres of Suffolk countryside at the historic Royal Hospital School. Rooted in academia, our courses will also offer workshops, speaker series, activities and excursions to the students – delivering a full programme of social and cultural events.

We are looking for two highly responsible and organised persons to fill our Programme Manager positions from January 2019 – one will focus on more pastoral/ safeguarding elements, the other on logistics. The positions will be part-time and based remotely, until the summer programmes commence in Suffolk for 4 weeks over the summer, where you will be expected to be onsite. Accommodation will be provided at Royal Hospital School.

The Programme Managers are a key figure in the Tech Immerse team – they will manage a team of staff and a campus of international students to ensure that the high expectations of academic delivery, safety, welfare, organisation and student enjoyment are met. The Programme Managers are managerial roles with a strong pastoral and/or logistical element.

  • Oversee the organisation and execution of academic classes and social activities
  • Lead and manage the summer mentor team
  • Respond to queries and concerns from parents
  • Handle and respond to the day-to-day demands presented by the 11-15 year old students
  • Manage the Tech Immerse academic staff
  • Communicate with the onsite School staff
  • Facilitate the pre-course organisation of operational and procedural aspects such as Health & Safety forms and Risk Assessments
  • Provide guidance on matters of welfare and student discipline, and be responsible for all matters relating to student safeguarding.

The role involves a high level of responsibility and requires excellent organisational, delegation and managerial skills with extensive suitable experience. Previous experience in taking an active role in running educational courses or institutions is preferred (such as as a housemaster / housemistress in a boarding school), though applicants with strong leadership experience in other fields will also be considered.

We’re looking for teachers with a passion for guiding students aged 11-15 in groups of around 12.

As an Immerse tech teacher, you’ll have a passion for helping students learn by sharing your expertise in digestible pieces while exploring the opportunities that your subject presents to young participants aged 11-15.

Minimum Experience:

Graduates, undergraduates and Qualified secondary school teachers who can demonstrate relevant qualifications and experience as well as PhD students and junior research fellows with experience teaching  undergraduates will be considered for the role.

Please note that all successful applicants will need or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS to work for Immerse Education.

We are looking for enthusiastic school leavers to join our residential mentor team at Royal Hospital School over the summer; to assist in organising and leading participants of our Tech Immerse courses.

We take pastoral care very seriously, and so we’re looking for outgoing, friendly and approachable individuals who are comfortable in managing small groups of participants and creating a ‘home away from home’.

It’s a demanding and rewarding role, which is as much about enjoyment as it is about responsibility. We are looking for residential mentors who can commit to at least two weeks during the summer.

Time Commitments:
  • Session 1: Saturday 29th June – Saturday 13th July
  • Session 2: Saturday 13th July – Saturday 27th July
  • Minimum of 2 consecutive weeks between 29th June 2019  – 27th July 2019

Do you have a passion for photography? Do you like the idea of working with children and capturing memories that will last a lifetime?  The Tech Immerse Campus Photographer will be on hand during the programme to document the life of the students. Joining activities, classes and coach excursions the Photographer will integrate themselves with the students and staff to get the most engaging images to reflect life at Tech Immerse.  Photos will be shared with students to remember their summer, and also used on social media and future marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take appropriate images that show a varied program and atmosphere, ensuring images are taken of every attendee. These should be:
  • Create slideshow for colleges at end of each session which will be shown at graduation and the final night party.
  • Ensure consent is received, and consent forms are issued, if required
  • Update images daily to our shared Google Drive – to be used on social media
  • Teach a creative, engaging workshop for students organising a photography exhibition at the end of each programme (including getting images printed)
  • It will be your responsibility to capture high-quality images while displaying confidence and professionalism at all times

You will be expected to provide all our own equipment (DSLR, tripod, lenses with varying focal lengths) – waterproof/sports equipment or drones are desirable.
