Supportive & Approachable

We place a huge emphasis on creating a supportive and approachable environment at Immerse Education.

Read more about our Safeguarding processes and on-site team, including our mentors – who are a team of friendly, specially trained graduates and undergraduates from Cambridge University or Oxford University. Mentors help our participants quickly settle into the programme.

Student Welfare

Safeguarding

We are accredited by the British Accreditation Council, the leading mark of educational quality for the sector.

In addition, all of our team members pass an Enhanced DBS check (the UK’s criminal record check) and undergo safeguarding and welfare training. We take the safety and well-being of our participants extremely seriously.

All participants on an Immerse programme are assigned to a “Mentor Family” – a group of 10 participants who are led by an Immerse Education Mentor, who also lives on-site.

Mentors offer support and friendship to all participants. They truly understand the challenges and pressures that participants face and are happy to share their own advice and experience. Mentors are often alumni of the Immerse programmes, so they are able to relate their experience to each of the participants. It’s an unrivalled support system that we’re incredibly proud of.

School Management

In Cambridge, Oxford, London and Sydney, each of our programmes is managed by a senior, trained and experienced College Manager.

Our College Manager oversees the Mentor team and manages the organisation and execution of academic classes and social activities. Each of our College Managers is experienced in summer programme organisation and are trained to Level 3 Safeguarding standards. They are the point of contact throughout the programme for any pastoral or academic concerns. Each Manager is enthusiastic and supportive.

Our resident summer team, together with college personnel, supervise each of our sites 24/7. The colleges and the cities themselves are very safe environments. All members of staff undergo extensive security and safety checks, including UK Government Enhanced DBS checks.

Whilst participants are encouraged to develop independence throughout the programme, they must do so safely – in pairs or small groups. The Immerse team is always on hand to supervise participants and to ensure that everyone enjoys both a safe and rewarding experience.

Our team

The experience of staying in Cambridge’s colleges is like no other. Experience authentic student life in Cambridge – study and have fun in a summer programme designed for motivated and ambitious participants.

The ability of Immerse Education to effectively build a community with a diverse group of educators with global perspectives, creating a safe space to collaborate and learn was priceless. It was a privilege to be included.
Theresa St. Laurent
Director of School Counselling, Notre Dame Preparatory School
For an educator to spend a week in Cambridge living the college life is already an invaluable experience per se. But to build a community with colleagues from different parts of the world and share similar problems and achievements is uplifting and reassuring.

My time in Sydney with Immerse has honestly been one of the best things I have ever done. I learnt so much from all the inspirational tutors who have motivated me to challenge myself academically. This experience has allowed me to develop so many amazing new friendships from all over the world. Each and every moment at immerse was engaging, fun and insightful.

The Immerse Education programme is a useful experience for both learning and personal career. I learned a lot, met new people, understood new concepts and most importantly I enjoyed it one hundred percent. You get an overview of many topics and realise the world behind what you don’t know about. In my opinion, this was the best choice I could ever make at this age.

Current undergraduate of the Imperial College London
I would absolutely recommend Immerse Education to other parents, especially those with children Quan’s age. It’s such a valuable experience, and the international environment adds another layer of richness. I haven’t found many other programmes with this level of diversity and cultural exchange.

It’s been a great experience for my daughter. Besides the academics, it’s encouraged her to be more independent. She’s had to navigate a new environment, meet people from all over the world, and manage without us right there. She did really well and didn’t need to text us constantly, which showed she was adjusting.

Parent of Academic Insights student in Cambridge
It’s been great having university students and graduates as mentors. It’s given my daughter insights directly from people studying or teaching at Cambridge, rather than just remote instructors. This has been invaluable for her, and we can tell she’s been inspired by them. When we speak with her, we hear how much more confident and at ease she’s become.
