Our Tokyo Summer School

In the improbable event of an accident or emergency, our team are equipped to respond and ensure that the participant receives appropriate support. If a participant needs to go to the hospital, a staff member will accompany them, and parents/guardians will be contacted as soon as possible. We will contact the appropriate emergency services and inform parents/guardians as soon as possible for any other emergency.

Our Tokyo Ssummer School welcomes ambitious students aged 15-18 from across the globe. We’re looking for participants who are passionate about exploring future career paths, eager to gain hands-on experience and excited to spend two weeks in one of the world’s most innovative cities. Whether you want to explore a specific industry or build professional skills, our courses are designed to inspire future leaders in the heart of Japan’s capital.

We offer four Career Insights courses in Tokyo for students aged 15-18: Business Management, Engineering, Film & Animation and Medicine. Each course offers a hands-on, career-focused experience led by industry professionals, with industry visits across the city.

Our Tokyo Summer School runs for two weeks, with sessions starting on 4 July and 18 July 2027. This gives students time to explore their chosen career field in depth, develop essential professional skills and experience Tokyo’s business and technology scene. The timetable balances career-focused learning with industry visits, cultural excursions and networking opportunities.

Participants will be accommodated in comfortable, safe facilities in Tokyo, carefully selected to provide easy access to our learning venues and the city’s attractions. This arrangement offers students an authentic taste of life in one of the world’s most exciting metropolises while ensuring a conducive environment for both study and cultural immersion.

Career Insights gives you a practical look at the roles within your chosen field, while Academic Insights gives you a taste of university-level study. Academic Insights is mainly classroom-based, whereas on Career Insights you’ll be out exploring the city on industry visits. Alongside your subject, you’ll build professional skills in career skills sessions, from perfecting your elevator pitch to public speaking, networking and collaboration. Career Insights in Tokyo is designed for students who want to explore a future career from the inside. Students aged 15-18 at the time of their course are eligible to apply. There are no formal academic requirements, but students are asked to share their educational background after applying, so teaching can be pitched at the right level. Apply now here.

Lessons finish at 4 pm on the final Friday of the course. Participants then take part in a graduation ceremony, a celebratory dinner and an evening celebration with their friends. On Saturday, students can leave after breakfast, and a shared airport transfer service is available if booked in advance (see this page for details). Participants must check out of their accommodation and return their keys by 10 am. Most leave shortly after, but our team stays on site until 3 pm and can store luggage until then.

All participants receive a Certificate of Participation when they complete their Immerse course, awarded at the graduation ceremony on the final day.
