Within the Chemistry Online Research Programme, participants aged 13-18 are paired with a dedicated tutor to participate in an academic research initiative covering the chemical sciences and culminating in the completion of a university-level research project.

In-depth academic sessions

Expert academic tutors guide students through a bespoke, subject-specific curriculum that deepens their understanding and enhances critical thinking skills.

Personal research project

Students design and complete an independent research project, developing essential skills in research, academic writing, referencing, and argumentation — culminating in a final written report. Perfect for university applications!

3.
Choice of 1:1 or group lessons

Students have the choice between individual tutorials with their subject tutor, offering personalised feedback and mentorship, or learning in a group setting amongst like-minded peers.

4.
Certificate of achievement and accreditation

Upon completion, students receive a certificate recognising their academic work — ideal for university applications, portfolios, or CVs. For accredited courses, they also receive a copy of their qualification recognised by universities around the world.

5.
Publication in Research Journal

For Publication Research Programme students, they will finish their programme with 4 hours of coaching to support them in publishing their work in an internationally recognised high school journal.

Immerse Education’s online chemistry programme is designed for students aged 13-18 who are curious about science. Each participant is matched with an experienced tutor who guides them through an exciting research project in chemistry. This programme helps students explore scientific ideas, develop problem-solving skills, and think critically. During our online chemistry​ tuition, students gain practical knowledge, learn how to approach scientific questions and improve their ability to explain complex ideas clearly whilst working on a university-level research project. The programme is ideal for high school and secondary school students who want to challenge themselves and build confidence in their scientific abilities. By the end, they will have completed a meaningful project and deepened their understanding of chemistry.

Create your own Chemistry research

In this online chemistry programme, you get to choose your chemistry topic. Choose a chemistry topic that genuinely sparks your interest - whether it's pharmaceuticals, environmental science, or materials - and your tutor will support you from start to finish. You’ll complete research at the same standard as university students. Once done, top students will have the opportunity to present their projects at the Immerse Online Symposium or feature them in a journal. This gives you a chance to share your work with others and show what you’ve learned - a great way to feel ready for university.

Develop useful skills for the future

Our programme helps you improve important skills, like problem-solving and clear thinking. You’ll also become better at talking and writing about your ideas. These are skills you can use throughout your life - in school, university, and your future job. Practicing these skills builds confidence, making you feel ready for future challenges. You’ll also become comfortable conducting research on your own, an experience that will impress you during university interviews.

Parents FAQ

What if my child needs medical attention?

We have strict safeguarding policies and procedures that cover all cases of students needed medical attention to ensure student safety and wellbeing. If a child requires medical attention, all of our staff are first-aid trained are able to handle minor injuries or illnesses on-site, while more serious cases are referred to the nearest hospital or GP practice. For more information, or if you are unsure about whether we can accommodate your requirements, please contact us at enquiries@immerse.education.

How is my child's safety ensured during the programme?

All of our team members pass an Enhanced DBS check (the UK’s criminal record check) and undergo safeguarding and welfare training. Our resident summer team, together with college personnel, supervise each of our sites 24/7. The colleges and the cities themselves are very safe environments.

Are meals provided, and do you cater to dietary requirements?

Meals are provided for students during the programme, with specifics depending on the student’s age group and exact location or college. Typically, students aged 13-15 receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner either on-site or near their accommodation, while students aged 16-18 are provided with breakfast and dinner, with various lunch options available near their accommodation or classrooms.Our host venues accommodate all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, halal, gluten-free, and allergy-related needs. If your child has specific allergies or dietary restrictions, please include these details in the post-enrolment form so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Is travel to and from the programme’s location included?

Students will be responsible for getting to and from the city where the programme is located. However, travel to and from excursions, tours and activities attended during the programme’s duration will be fully arranged by Immerse Education and are included in the fees.
