Artificial Intelligence Summer School in Toronto

We provide life-changing experiences that challenge, inspire and prepare ambitious students around the world.

Explore the Artificial Intelligence Summer School in Toronto

Spend two weeks this summer exploring artificial intelligence in Toronto. Immerse Education's Artificial Intelligence course is designed for students aged 15-18 who want to understand how AI systems are built, trained and used. You'll start with Python, then move through machine learning, neural networks, computer vision and generative AI, learning to explain how a model learns and to build and evaluate one yourself. This isn't just theory. You'll debate bias, privacy and fairness in automated decision-making, ask whether powerful systems can be made safe and reliable, and finish by presenting an AI product you have designed. Whether you're considering computer science, engineering or a future career working with AI, this course gives you a genuine taste of university-level study. Find out more below.

Meet some of our Artificial Intelligence tutors

Immerse Education's Artificial Intelligence tutors are academics with experience teaching at university level, and they bring that expertise to every session. They'll guide you from your first lines of Python to training and evaluating your own models, making complex ideas clear and showing how AI is already used in fields such as medicine and the social sciences. Your tutor will also supervise your personal project, meeting you for 1:1 tutorials to help you shape your AI product idea, test your thinking and prepare your final presentation. You'll get feedback and support at every stage, so you always know what to work on next. If English isn't your first language, your tutor will help you master key terms such as supervised learning, overfitting and algorithmic bias, so you can use them with confidence in discussions, presentations and future university applications. Our tutors are more than teachers. They want to see you grow, and they'll challenge you to think critically about the technology you're learning to build. By the end of the course, you'll understand how AI works, where its risks lie and what it takes to deploy it responsibly, with the skills and confidence to take your next step in the subject, whether that's studying computer science at university or exploring a career working with AI.

Academic Insights: Parent’s Perspective Video

The most beneficial part was developing confidence in expressing my ideas in an academic environment. The programme helped me improve my critical thinking, communication skills, and understanding of Economics. It also gave me a clearer vision of what studying at university abroad could be like.

Rehan M

Economics, Academic Insights, Oxford

I'm completely satisfied with the programme! Everything was very well organised. Any questions or issues were dealt with quickly, and my mentor was absolutely wonderful.

Veronika T

Architecture, Academic Insights, Cambridge

In 3 days, I've learned many things that will help me in university. I can create a bibliography and correctly quote and paraphrase any sources. I truly recommend this program for the useful knowledge I gained.

Camille B

Online Research

I found the Oxbridge Research Programme classes very interactive. I was able to work one on one with my tutor, which meant that I could ask the questions which I found most important, and allowed me to go more in-depth into what I was most interested in. My tutor had economics experience from university, which meant that I was able to experience what studying economics at university would be like. I found it was very personal to me because it allowed me to go into my own interests rather than taking a course that would cover a whole variety of economics.

Shreya G

Economics, Online Research

What I found most beneficial was how much I learned about the business world in such a short time. The mix of theory and real-life experience through industry visits really helped me understand how things work beyond the classroom. I also improved my communication and teamwork skills, and I feel more confident speaking in English. On top of that, meeting people from different backgrounds and working together gave me a more global perspective, which I know will be very useful in the future.

María L

Business Management, Career Insights, New York

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I wanted to make the most of it. It really was a key stepping stone for me to see what engineering could really look like.

Amberleigh C

Engineering, Career Insights, Tokyo

The programme strengthened both my academic knowledge and my confidence. It confirmed that medicine is the path I want to pursue while also helping me develop skills such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Hearing different perspectives from students around the world broadened my understanding of healthcare and showed me how medicine is approached in different countries. I left feeling more motivated, more confident, and with a clearer vision of my future goals.

Yue Y

Medicine, Academic Insights, Oxford

The most beneficial part was developing my independent research and critical thinking skills. Through working on my personal project, I learned how to structure a coherent research question, find reliable economic data, and build a clear, evidence-based argument. The one-on-one guidance from my tutor helped me realise that economics is not just about memorising formulas: it's a powerful tool for understanding the real world. These experiences have fully prepared me for university-level economics study.

Yuxuan M

Economics, Academic Insights, Cambridge

TED summer programme is one of a kind. Many people take for granted their ability to communicate but the truth is that if we all were good communicators, wars wouldn't even exist. So, from my perspective, proper public speaking skills are fundamental for life and that is why I came here.

The ability of Immerse Education to effectively build a community with a diverse group of educators with global perspectives, creating a safe space to collaborate and learn was priceless. It was a privilege to be included.

Theresa St. Laurent

Director of School Counselling, Notre Dame Preparatory School

For an educator to spend a week in Cambridge living the college life is already an invaluable experience per se. But to build a community with colleagues from different parts of the world and share similar problems and achievements is uplifting and reassuring.

My time in Sydney with Immerse has honestly been one of the best things I have ever done. I learnt so much from all the inspirational tutors who have motivated me to challenge myself academically. This experience has allowed me to develop so many amazing new friendships from all over the world. Each and every moment at immerse was engaging, fun and insightful.

The Immerse Education programme is a useful experience for both learning and personal career. I learned a lot, met new people, understood new concepts and most importantly I enjoyed it one hundred percent. You get an overview of many topics and realise the world behind what you don’t know about. In my opinion, this was the best choice I could ever make at this age.

Anna K

Current undergraduate at Imperial College London

I would absolutely recommend Immerse Education to other parents, especially those with children Quan’s age. It’s such a valuable experience, and the international environment adds another layer of richness. I haven’t found many other programmes with this level of diversity and cultural exchange.

Thu

Parent of Academic Insights student in Cambridge

It’s been a great experience for my daughter. Besides the academics, it’s encouraged her to be more independent. She’s had to navigate a new environment, meet people from all over the world, and manage without us right there. She did really well and didn’t need to text us constantly, which showed she was adjusting.

Alexander

Parent of Academic Insights student in Cambridge

It’s been great having university students and graduates as mentors. It’s given my daughter insights directly from people studying or teaching at Cambridge, rather than just remote instructors. This has been invaluable for her, and we can tell she’s been inspired by them. When we speak with her, we hear how much more confident and at ease she’s become.
