Economics tutors at Immerse Education’s London Summer School are experts in global finance, public policy, and economic theory. They guide students aged 16-18 through a curriculum that blends academic rigour with real-world relevance, covering core topics such as market structures, macroeconomic policy, trade, and inequality. Using a mix of seminars, group projects, and data analysis tasks, tutors help students build their ability to think critically, interpret graphs and data, and evaluate arguments. They’re also attentive to individual learning needs, ensuring that both beginners and more experienced students feel challenged and supported. With backgrounds in research and consultancy, tutors bring practical insight into how economics shapes policy and everyday life. They also provide tips on preparing for university-level study and exploring careers in economics, finance, or international relations. Their clear, structured teaching style and enthusiasm for the subject leave students with a solid foundation and the confidence to engage in complex economic debates.

Itzhak

Itzhak is a DPhil candidate in Economics at Oxford University, where he also obtained his master's and undergraduate degrees. Alongside his research, he tutors microeconomics to first and second-year participants at St Hugh's College, Oxford University.

Lesego

Before joining Bloomberg as a Consultant in London, Lesego completed an MBA at the Cambridge Judge Business School. Lesego has also worked with McKinsey & Company in their various global offices.

Astor College is one of the two accommodation locations for our London Summer School. Situated in the heart of Bloomsbury, this purpose-built student residence is practical, central, and perfectly placed for students who want to experience what studying in the capital really feels like.

Participants in our London programmes stay in various centrally-located accommodations at University College London (UCL), including Astor College and John Dodgson House. Just a short walk from world-famous landmarks such as the British Museum, the British Library, and Russell Square, these residences offer an authentic taste of city-based student life. Accommodation, meals, and extracurricular activities are all included in the programme, providing a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment. Students live and learn in modern facilities with easy access to the academic venues and cultural highlights that London is known for. Male and female students are housed separately, and all buildings are equipped with Wi-Fi.
