Royal College of Surgeons
Part of London’s medical heritage since 1800, the Royal College of Surgeons offered students a rare chance to practise surgical skills, speak with a medical professional, and explore the Hunterian Museum’s fascinating collections.
Royal College of Physicans
Students explored the history of medicine through the Royal College of Physicians’ collections, joined healthcare career workshops, and toured the medicinal plant garden with eminent physicians, learning about chemical properties and their applications in medicine.
Old Operating Theatre
At the Old Operating Theatre, participants delved into the evolution of healthcare and key medical milestones, while exploring the cultural context of pre-antiseptic surgery within Europe’s oldest surviving surgical theatre.
Bayer Pharmaceutical Labs
Interactive sessions at Bayer’s Baylab pharmaceutical labs gave participants a hands-on look at life sciences. They performed professional-grade experiments, such as isolating genetic material or simulating clinical trials, to understand drug discovery and development.

Led by Expert Tutors, these workshops provide insights into various career paths and industry practices. Participants benefit from the experiences shared by professionals, gaining practical knowledge and understanding of the skills required in their fields of interest. These sessions are designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional application, equipping students with tools essential for future success.
Each week, participants receive one-on-one sessions with their dedicated Expert Industry Tutor. These tailored meetings are designed to provide individual feedback and career-focused support, ensuring that each student receives guidance suited to their career planning, industry interests, and personal development goals.
Throughout the programme, students engage in individual projects that allow them to apply acquired knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios and work on their future career plans. This hands-on approach fosters critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, culminating in a comprehensive project presentation to industry experts.
Industry visits offer participants firsthand exposure to their field of interest. Through visits to leading local companies and on-site guest speaker sessions, students gain invaluable insights into the industry landscape and have the opportunity to network with professionals, helping them understand potential career paths.

Participants in our London programmes stay in various centrally-located accommodations at University College London (UCL), including Astor College and John Dodgson House. Just a short walk from world-famous landmarks such as the British Museum, the British Library, and Russell Square, these residences offer an authentic taste of city-based student life. Accommodation, meals, and extracurricular activities are all included in the programme, providing a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment. Students live and learn in modern facilities with easy access to the academic venues and cultural highlights that London is known for. Male and female students are housed separately, and all buildings are equipped with Wi-Fi.
