Balliol College Update Oxford Summer Course

Weekends at Immerse Balliol are just as jam-packed as the weekdays with the halfway point of the programme marked by two exciting trips to London and Cambridge!

On Saturday, we spent a sunny day in the capital, taking in all its great landmarks like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace on a walking tour. This was followed by free time to shop in London’s famous Convent Gardens and Leicester Square, relax in cafés and get those all-important souvenirs!

Peaceful Cambridge was quite the change from London as the students strolled through its beautiful parks, visited its quaint markets and appreciated the incredible architecture of Cambridge colleges. We had a lovely 3-course formal lunch at St Catherine’s College and ended the day with an opportunity to explore the sights of Cambridge before returning on the coach.

Coming to Immerse is not only a brilliant way to broaden horizons beyond the classroom but also to discover new cities across the country. After a unique weekend of excursions, the students are feeling ready for our final week of inspiring academic sessions and fun activities back in Oxford.
