By taking part in the Immerse programme, I discovered my passion for Engineering and my love of meeting people from across the globe. The programme provided ample opportunity to build friendships with like-minded students from all over the world.
The programme led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering at Northeastern University, and I am now working at a cell therapy company on the genome engineering team doing CRISPR gene editing for stem cells. I hope to continue my passion for genome engineering and challenge myself in new ways.
Immerse gave me the confidence to pursue the degree that I had an interest in even though I knew it would be challenging. I learnt so much from the University of Cambridge tutors on my biology programme which confirmed my interest in bioengineering.
I would encourage future Immerse students to make the most of their time on the programme. They should have fun, be bold, and try new things. The social activities provide a lot of room and opportunities to make this happen.
