Coding summer school FAQs
Students will start with the fundamentals of coding, learning how computers interpret instructions before diving into Python, the most widely used programming language. They’ll explore game design principles, Java programming, and coding logic through flowcharts and pseudo-code. The course also covers different coding languages, web development with JavaScript frameworks, and mobile app development. Finally, students will examine algorithm design and analysis, gaining insight into efficiency, sorting methods, and complexity theory to solve real-world programming challenges.
You don’t need to have studied the subject before to take this subject with Immerse, but a keen interest is required. Your tutor may set some pre-course reading for the programme which will be sent to you before you start which will help you prepare.
The residential Coding courses are best suited for motivated participants ages 16-18 looking for a deep dive into this subject area with an expert academic. Taking this course will give you a head-start against your competition as you embark on university study and a future career in this field.

Parents FAQ
We have strict safeguarding policies and procedures that cover all cases of students needed medical attention to ensure student safety and wellbeing. If a child requires medical attention, all of our staff are first-aid trained are able to handle minor injuries or illnesses on-site, while more serious cases are referred to the nearest hospital or GP practice. All of our team members pass an Enhanced DBS check (the UK’s criminal record check) and undergo safeguarding and welfare training. Our resident summer team, together with college personnel, supervise each of our sites 24/7. The colleges and the cities themselves are very safe environments.
Meals are provided for students during the programme, with specifics depending on the student’s age group and exact location or college. Typically, students aged 13-15 receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner either on-site or near their accommodation, while students aged 16-18 are provided with breakfast and dinner, with various lunch options available near their accommodation or classrooms.Our host venues accommodate all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, halal, gluten-free, and allergy-related needs. If your child has specific allergies or dietary restrictions, please include these details in the post-enrolment form so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Students will be responsible for getting to and from the city where the programme is located. However, travel to and from excursions, tours and activities attended during the programme’s duration will be fully arranged by Immerse Education and are included in the fees.
