For an Immerse Education course, you don’t need to know about the subject before you start. The most important thing is that you’re excited to learn. Before the course begins, you’ll get some reading materials to help you get ready and feel more comfortable with what you’ll be learning.
The Medicine course at Immerse Education is ideally suited for individuals who are eager to learn and explore the field of medicine, regardless of their current level of subject knowledge. The programme is designed to cater to participants who have a keen interest in the medical sciences and are open to absorbing new information and academic challenges. Prior subject knowledge is not a necessity; what is most important is a genuine willingness to engage with the course material and participate in the learning experience.
Immerse's Medicine courses offer participants an in-depth exploration of medical sciences, diagnostic methodologies, and healthcare systems, covering topics from anatomy to medical ethics. In 2027, Immerse Education offers Medicine through Academic Insights in Cambridge and Oxford (ages 13-15 and 16-18), London, Sydney and Toronto (ages 15-18) and Singapore (ages 16-18); through Career Insights in London, New York and Tokyo (ages 15-18); and online through Online Research.
Medicine graduates enjoy a wide array of career prospects beyond traditional clinical roles, including specialties within healthcare such as surgery, paediatrics, and psychiatry. Beyond direct patient care, opportunities exist in medical research, public health, healthcare management, and medical education. Graduates can also venture into the pharmaceutical industry, medical writing, and health policy, leveraging their expertise to influence healthcare outcomes on a broader scale. Parents FAQ
We have strict safeguarding policies and procedures that cover all cases of students needed medical attention to ensure student safety and wellbeing. If a child requires medical attention, all of our staff are first-aid trained are able to handle minor injuries or illnesses on-site, while more serious cases are referred to the nearest hospital or GP practice. All of our team members pass an Enhanced DBS check (the UK’s criminal record check) and complete safeguarding and welfare training. Our resident summer team, together with on-site staff, supervises each of our sites 24/7. All our venues are safe, secure environments.
Meals are provided for students during the course, with specifics depending on the student’s age group and exact location or college. Typically, students aged 13-15 receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner either on-site or near their accommodation, while students aged 16-18 are provided with breakfast and dinner, with various lunch options available near their accommodation or classrooms. Our host venues accommodate all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, halal, gluten-free, and allergy-related needs. If your child has specific allergies or dietary restrictions, please include these details in the post-application form so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Students will be responsible for getting to and from the city where the course is located. However, travel to and from excursions, tours and activities attended during the course’s duration will be fully arranged by Immerse Education and are included in the fees.
