Experience the best of Biotechnology this summer

Live on campus

Students will stay in one of Cambridge’s historic colleges, fully immersing themselves in university life. A few weeks before arrival to our biotechnology summer school in Cambridge, each participant will be assigned to a college based on their subject choice and dates. If you want to stay with a friend or sibling, let us know, and we will do our best to arrange it.

Dine in formal hall

Twice during the Cambridge biotechnology programme, students will enjoy a traditional Cambridge formal dinner. Each three-course meal is served in a grand dining hall, following customs that have been part of the university for centuries. The first dinner takes place in the first week, while the second is held after the graduation ceremony. Smart clothing is recommended to match the setting.

Graduation ceremony

In one of the oldest halls, a unique graduation ceremony will mark the conclusion of the Cambridge biotechnology programme. In addition to motivational speeches from instructors and visitors, students will get certificates. It's an occasion to commemorate successes and think back on a memorable event. Everyone gathers for one last evening in Cambridge for a fancy dinner.

Explore Cambridge & London

There will be two full-day trips for the students. Exploring Cambridge's renowned universities, lovely parks, and scientific sites takes up one day. On a different excursion, students travel to London, where they tour famous landmarks and have free time to explore and buy.

Activities & social events

Afternoons and evenings are filled with exciting activities. Students can go punting on the River Cam, take part in Zorb football, or join a thrilling murder mystery night. There are also guest speaker sessions, quiz nights, and talent shows. While studies are important, this biotechnology programme also includes plenty of time to relax, make friends, and enjoy summer in Cambridge.
