It has been one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had in my life. Honestly, I don’t want to sound cheesy, but I’ve met so many people and I’ve learned so much history and geography, especially in my class, because everyone is from all around the world, and I’m so glad! I have learned more in two weeks than I have done in the past 11 years at school.
I have enjoyed everything, especially talking with people – communication and meeting new cultures and learning about their traditions has been amazing, as well as getting to know the mentors, they’re so cool! I’ve learned so much about applications and universities and just how normal these students are – they’re not different from us, even though they study at Oxford or Cambridge. They will guide you through your experience and will help you with anything you need.

I’ve enjoyed meeting new people with Immerse, people who have different passions than I do and are studying different courses – I have learned a lot from them.
Lady Margaret Hall, the college I’m staying in, is such a beautiful college. It’s got so many different areas we can study and play and have fun. I’ve also been learning so much about computer science, which is something I really enjoy.
I’m finding the course content extremely useful. I’ve learned so much in these two weeks and we’ve covered so many new topics that I hadn’t heard of. The relationship with my teacher has been fabulous – I can communicate with him very easily, and the teaching style is what I had expected, with university-style teaching methods.
I think this program has really helped me to to change my ideas about what I could expect from university, and it’s really helped me to make sure I enjoyed what I want to study in the future.
The Immerse programme has been absolutely brilliant because of all the things I’ve learned in only two weeks. The time went by really quickly! I’ve decided I want to continue to study business management down the line, and the Immerse programme has been really helpful for me to build my understanding of the topic and teach me about aspects of business management I didn’t know before.
I feel I’ve learned a lot at a really high level because the tutors actually teach at Oxford and Cambridge, so they really know what it’s like to be a student here and they understand what we should know in order to attend university here.

Watch Student Experiences
Get a taste of the programme by hearing from alumni and tutors about what to expect and see first-hand how transformational the programmes can be for ambitious students like yourself.
Our tutors care about the academic futures of each participant. Each subject’s syllabus is designed and taught by expert academics from top universities such as Cambridge and Oxford. Content is designed to introduce students to university-level subject matter and inspire them to continue their studies after completion.
One of the most popular aspects of the course is the opportunity to receive hands-on, practical experience in a chosen subject area. Examples include dissections in medicine, robotic arm building in engineering or practicing a moot court in Law.
Participants receive weekly 1:1 tutorials with their class tutor. These are designed to ensure that each individual is progressing as desired and that students can receive additional academic support in a private setting.
With the support of expert academic tutors, all participants on the Academic Insights programme complete a project during their time. Whether an essay, presentation or practical project, participants receive ongoing support before presenting their ideas to their peers at the end of the programme.
