Experience living in
It has been one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had in my life. I’ve met so many people and I’ve learned so much history and geography, because everyone is from all around the world. I’ve learned more in two weeks than I have done in the past 11 years at school.
I have enjoyed everything, especially talking with people as well as getting to know the mentors, they’re so cool! I’ve learned so much about applications and universities and just how normal these students are – they’re not different from us, even though they study at Oxford or Cambridge.
The mentors are people just a few years older than the participants, who each have cool stories to share. They are the smartest and most chill people that can help you with tips about college applications and also make you cry from laughter with their college experiences. They will guide you through your experience and will help you with anything you need.
The content in my International Relations class has been filled with so many interesting ideas. The tutor focuses on each individual student’s personal interest in the subject, and we cover a lot of different topics!
The Immerse Creative Writing programme has been great. Lesson times are a perfect 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, with lots of time to go and experience the town and have activities in the evenings.
I’ve really enjoyed being around people who have the same interests as me. Being able to share opinions and listen to feedback has been really valuable.
My tutor has been great. He’s very passionate about writing and he’s very engaging with the class. He listens to all our thoughts and our opinions on everything that we study – he’s been brilliant.
The programme has been a very good opportunity to get a grasp on what university is like – It gives us an opportunity to make new friends, which is good for your social skills, and you get an idea of what university classes might be like.
The curriculum is nothing like I’ve ever seen before, which is great. It’s nothing like what I do at school, which means I have the ability to experiment, and learn new things and along the way just improve my general skills.
The Immerse Oxford Experience

Our exceptional academic tutors are at the heart of our summer schools. With extensive experience teaching students at universities such as Cambridge, Oxford and Harvard, each tutor combines their enthusiasm and unique subject expertise to create a rich programme of academic discovery. With an average of only 7 students in each class, tutors are able to provide highly personalised feedback both during and after the summer school. Popular Oxford Summer Courses include:
The individualised attention was something that I was incredibly pleased with. It really helped me to delve into my area of interest, and to learn far more about the subject than I could have on my own. It’s built up my confidence, and I’m now sure that I want to advance my interest to university level.
