Content and Language Integrated Learning

All of Immerse Education’s academic programmes are taught using the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) methodology. This innovative approach allows students to learn English through academic subjects tuition focussing on a specific subject.

Students on a residential Immerse programme receive at least 40 hours of English language teaching delivered through academic subject tuition. All courses employ a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) methodology, to enable students to develop their English language skills through lessons focusing on a specific subject

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is an approach where students learn a subject and a second language at the same time. A science course, for example, can be taught to students in English and they will not only learn about science, but they will also gain relevant vocabulary and language skills.

This methodology is now widely recognised as one of the most effective and innovative ways to learn English language, and is testament to Immerse Education’s ethos to remain at the forefront of education. All our programmes are conducted in English and can help learners, both native and foreign, improve their English written and English skills.

During my time with Immerse Education, I acquired new knowledge and skills that have helped improve my overall academics. I specially improved my English and writing skills and helped me look for new perspective in different types of texts.
