By entering an Immerse Education competition, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions as set out below.
The Immerse Education competitions are generally open to students of all nationalities aged 13-18 – though some competitions may be open to a different age range. Details of the competitions can be found on their individual landing page.
Entries will be assessed anonymously and purely on their merit. Individuals are permitted to submit one entry only. In the case of group entries, only one submission may occur per group. Groups should nominate ONE group lead to submit on the group’s behalf. Entries should follow the provided guidelines and must be submitted in English. Entries should be submitted in accordance with the competition’s specifications.
Students must be within the advertised age range on the competition’s advertised closing date to be eligible to enter. You may be asked, at any stage, to provide proof of age or identity. Students may be of any nationality.
All entries must be received through the relevant competition entry upload form on the Succeed platform to be considered valid.
Submissions must be written in English. No minimum standard of English or qualifications are required for participation unless specified. Entries must be received by 23:59 UK time on the advertised closing date.
Only entries that are duly received by Immerse Education via the Succeed platform by the closing date will be eligible.
We cannot accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, or damaged, and proof of sending an online entry is not proof that we have received it.
Entries must be submitted via the relevant Entry Form on Succeed. Videos must be submitted as an .mp4 file only. Sharing permissions for files uploaded as entries are the responsibility of the entrant. Videos that cannot be opened or documents that are not made publicly accessible during marking will be disqualified. Entries received by email will not be considered.
Entries cannot be returned, so please remember to retain a copy.
All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. Immerse Education accepts no responsibility if entrants ignore these terms and conditions and entrants agree to indemnify Immerse Education against any claim by any third party from any breach of these terms and conditions. Entries must not contain defamatory, obscene, offensive, or any other unsuitable material; Immerse Education reserves the right to disqualify entries containing such matter. Entries must be suitable to be published by Immerse Education for audiences of all ages.
Each entrant retains the copyright in his or her entry but grants to Immerse Education a perpetual non-exclusive royalty-free license to publish, broadcast (across all media), and post the entry online and on any other platforms yet to be envisaged, together with his or her name, age, and country of residence. This license will be deemed to include all the necessary rights and permissions to enable such use by Immerse Education, to fulfil the prizes, and to complete the administration of this competition.
By submitting an entry, you agree that Immerse Education may at its sole discretion edit, adapt, abridge, or translate the entry for the purposes listed in these terms and conditions (even if you don’t win we may, for example, publish your entry or excerpts from it as a runner-up in the competition). You grant permission to Immerse Education, and to those acting under Immerse Education’s authority, to use your name, picture, likeness, voice, biographical information, and statements for promotional purposes without additional compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and World Wide Web, without notice, review, or approval.
Full details of the requirements of the submission can be found through the relevant competition’s page on the Succeed platform.
By entering the competition, you declare that the submitted work is entirely your own. Immerse Education will immediately disqualify any work suspected of being plagiarised or subject to academic misconduct. Entries must be written in English unless specified otherwise.
Submissions must be original and created specifically for this competition. If we notice that content has been reused from another competition or school assessment, the entry will be disqualified.
By entering the competition, entrants declare that the material does not infringe on any copyright or licenses. It remains the entrants’ responsibility to ensure this is the case. Immerse Education is not liable for any losses as a result of entering our competitions.
Entries will not be returned, so participants are advised to keep a copy for their own reference.
Immerse Education reserves the right to modify the number of prizes and/or entries selected based on the quality of the submissions.
Due to the number of submissions our competition receives, we we may not always be able to provide feedback on individual entries, and an entry to an Immerse competition may not result in individualised feedback.
Participants may enter multiple Immerse Education competitions; however, discounts are not cumulative and cannot be stacked. Only one discount can be applied per programme enrolment, and discounts must be used in the order they are awarded. If a participant receives more than one discount, only the first will be valid for initial use – even if subsequent discounts are of greater value. A later discount can only be applied once the first has been redeemed through an enrolment. This ensures fairness across competitions
Immerse Education reserves the right to vary the terms of, or terminate, competitions at any time at its absolute discretion without liability to any contestant or other person.
We collect and process personal information in order to support the administration of the competition. Such personal information is limited to the details provided on the completed Competition Entry Forms.
Completed submissions will only be processed to support the judging process and are shared anonymously with the judges. We will use entrants’ contact details to notify them of the outcome of their submission.
Personal information will be retained in relation to the reproduction of your entry or part of it.
Further information and checks may be carried out to validate the winner’s eligibility.
