Cloe studied bioengineering at Northeastern University and now works in genome engineering

What has your journey looked like education and work-wise since your time at Immerse?

The programme led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering at Northeastern University, and I am now working at a cell therapy company on the genome engineering team doing CRISPR gene editing for stem cells. I hope to continue my passion for genome engineering and challenge myself in new ways.

She gained confidence in her abilities to pursue her course

How did you find Immerse helped you on your journey?

Immerse gave me the confidence to pursue the degree that I had an interest in even though I knew it would be challenging. I learnt so much from the University of Cambridge tutors on my biology programme which confirmed my interest in bioengineering.

Her advice to students is to be bold

What advice would you give to students joining Immerse programmes?

I would encourage future Immerse students to make the most of their time on the programme. They should have fun, be bold, and try new things. The social activities provide a lot of room and opportunities to make this happen.
