The Biology Summer School for 16-18 year olds will provide you with an exciting and unparalleled insight into university-level Biology, whilst studying in a college of Cambridge University. The curriculum will provide you with a deep insight into the science behind ‘life’, and will explore some of the fascinating research trends in the Biological Sciences. You will have the opportunity to explore the rich and varied topics in Biology that are essential to many important careers such as in Medicine or Biotechnology (a field that Cambridge is famous for).

Dr Saroj Velamakanni

Dr Velamakanni is a Cambridge educated scientist, researcher and entrepreneur currently working as a consultant providing expert R&D due diligence and business development services to Biotech and pharma companies within Europe. He completed his undergraduate and post graduate studies from the University of Madras, India and was twice recipient of a gold medal for my outstanding academic achievement. For pursuing his doctoral studies at Cambridge, UK, he was awarded the prestigious Cambridge Nehru Scholarship. Dr Velamakanni is very passionate about teaching and has extensive teaching experience at the University of Cambridge.

Our academic summer schools are designed for students aged
13-15 years old, and for students aged 16-18 years old. Whatever
age you are, you will be taking part in an academically demanding
