About the Visionary Minds Challenge

The Visionary Minds Challenge invites ambitious students aged 14-18 at schools in the Immerse Education School Network around the globe to engage with the most pressing issues of our time. This competition serves as a platform for students to voice their innovative ideas and propose actionable solutions to some of the most critical challenges of our time

Through this essay competition, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas and solutions to challenges in artificial intelligence, sustainability, digital education, and global health.

Format and Submission Guidelines:

Essays

Must be between 1,500 and 2,500 words in length.

Submissions

Must be in English.

Each entry must be an original, unpublished work

Our Guest Judges

The Immerse Education Essay Competition provides the opportunity for students aged 13-18 to submit essay responses to a question of their choice relating to a subject of interest. There are over twenty questions to choose from which can be found in our full Essay Competition Guide. 10 winners will receive a 100% scholarship to study with us at a world-leading university of their choosing. Outstanding runners-up also receive partial scholarships.

Who can participate in the Visionary Minds Challenge?

The Visionary Minds Challenge is open exclusively to students aged 14-18 who are currently enrolled at schools in the Immerse Education School Network around the globe. Both individual students and groups of up to three students are eligible to participate. If you’re eager to showcase your innovative ideas and propose solutions to pressing global challenges, this competition is for you!

To submit your essay, ensure it meets the following criteria: it must be between 1,500 and 2,500 words in length, submitted in English, and be an original, unpublished work. Once your essay is ready, submit it by the deadline on 22nd April 2024. For detailed submission guidelines and to submit your entry, please refer to the provided link to the PDF in our competition announcement.

Participants are invited to write essays on one of the following topics: the impact of artificial intelligence on the global workforce, sustainability practices, digital education’s transformative potential, or strategies for enhancing global health preparedness. Essays will be judged based on relevance, originality, research, and presentation. Prizes include a grand prize of £3,000 towards university expenses for the winning entry, full scholarships for runners-up to a summer program at a prestigious university, and additional rewards such as partial scholarships and publication opportunities.
