As we all know, President Trump is in the UK for an official visit, which unfortunately meant that we had to reschedule the planned Oxford Trip to Tuesday. The visit itself gave our tutors lots to talk about with a lively discussion ensuing. Thanks to the flexibility of our dedicated tutors a portion of our students was able to have their later lessons in advance, whereas the other students were able to work on their homework, essays and presentations, with their Tuesday classes being taught in the next days.

Those who finished their work by lunch headed to Jesus Green to enjoy a sunny picnic, with a range of sports taking place on the grass. In the evening, students from all three colleges converged in the Sidney Sussex Tea Gardens to experience the variety of Cambridge restaurant cuisine, ranging from Zizzi’s Pizza to Thaikhun’s South Asian specialities.
This relaxed evening concluded an intense first week for our students, some of which seem to be more exhausted than others, managing to get locked out of their room three times today. Students are beginning to appreciate both the hard work required in university-level academia and the perks that a place like Cambridge can offer, including its rich history and culture, punting, and glamorous formal dinners at St. John’s College and are set for yet another busy and exciting week.
