In true attestation to the busyness of Oxford student life, it’s been an equally fun-filled week here at Immerse, Hertford College. Our participants threw themselves into various games and puzzles throughout the week. It was every man for themselves in our very intense game of Werewolf, where even the closest of friendships was put on hiatus in lieu of suspicion and survival. The students demonstrated their critical thinking, logic, and teamwork in order to survive the night, with notable performances and poker faces shown by our various werewolves.
Diving headfirst into Oxford life, the students were taken on a walking tour of Oxford led by current students at the university, providing us with various anecdotes and insider knowledge. They were then put to the test in our Quiz Night, as the participants competed to see who knew Oxford best. It was a very close round, with the winner decided by a single point.
Style and glamour abounded in our very own authentic Oxford Formal, where the students were taken to the gorgeous St Edmund’s Hall, to experience another one of the amazing colleges here at Oxford. Fashion was equally high at our Black Tie Night: Immerse’s very own version of the MET Gala. With tarot-reading, face-painting, and more, this was definitely a night to remember.
We concluded the week with a trip to the Other Place… Cambridge. Obviously no match for our beloved Oxford, but admittedly adorned with stunning architecture and amazing food. Our students were also given the chance to explore London on Sunday.
It was a week of laughs, competition, and fun. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
