Thursday saw a chance for the students to recuperate somewhat from the intense string of activities earlier in the week. The day started off as usual with academic sessions and students were able to bask in the afternoon sunshine as they enjoyed their lunch.

The Engineering students had the opportunity to visit ‘West Cambridge’ in the afternoon – where many of the cutting-edge Physics and Engineering projects are based. This proved to be an insightful visit, headed up by a Cambridge PhD student.

The students were able to catch up on some much-needed rest in preparation for the highly anticipated ‘Quiz Night’. The quiz consisted of several rounds and was compiled by Immerse mentors – it featured a wide range of trivia and popular culture questions. There was also a Cambridge University round which tested whether students could recall the quirkier bits of knowledge they’d learnt during the week. And of course, a round of matching mentors to their baby photos!

The students ended the day in high spirits having thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Quiz Night’ in all its drama. They’re now set to prepare for Sports Day on Friday and have a weekend of excursions to Oxford and/or London to look forward to!
