After a busy weekend, Immerse students and mentors alike were up nice and early on Monday morning, to begin the second and final week of session two.
Many students had projects or essays to hand in, or presentations to give, in their academic sessions – they have been working hard as well as playing hard! At lunchtime, some students attended a tour of the picturesque Pembroke College, before continuing with their afternoon sessions.

Out to the River
Once lessons were over, Immerse students participated in a huge variety of activities; sports afternoon for Christ’s, a tour of King’s College Chapel for all colleges, or watersports on the river Cam! Luckily the weather held out and was cooler than the past week, bringing a welcome respite from the heat. After an afternoon of sporty competition, adventurous kayaking and the beauty of the chapel, supper was had, before the evening activities commenced.
Students once again had a wealth of choices – a ‘spies and scoundrels’ walking tour exploring the enigmatic past of some of Cambridge’s best hidden spies, a debating workshop with one of our mentors, Reiss, or private study time in which to work on projects and assignments.
After this full day, students and mentors headed happily to bed to recharge for tomorrow’s activities!
